Why Udawalawe
Udawalawe is one of the best places in Asia to see wild elephants, yet good, up-to-date information about visiting is surprisingly hard to find. We started this site to change that: honest, first-hand guides written for travellers, not for search engines.
How we write our guides
- We go there. Our articles are based on our own visits, drives and conversations with local guides, drivers and families.
- We keep it practical. Times, routes and tips are checked before we publish, and we update articles when things change.
- We respect the wildlife. We only recommend responsible safaris and experiences that keep animals wild.
